Nach 47 Tagen des Wartens gibt es endlich Bewegung im Persischen Golf: Fünf von sechs festsitzenden Kreuzfahrtschiffen wagen aktuell die Flucht durch die Straße von Hormus. Ein kurzes diplomatisches Fenster hatte sich am 17. April 2026 geöffnet. Der Iran schloss dieses jedoch schnell wieder. Dennoch nutzen Schiffe wie die MSC Euribia oder die Mein Schiff 5 die Chance. Sie steuern mit Höchstgeschwindigkeit in Richtung Sicherheit. Die Celestyal Discovery hat die Engstelle bereits erfolgreich passiert. Die Aroya verbleibt hingegen vorerst im sicheren Hafen von Dammam.
