Es ist offiziell: MSC Cruises hat die Pläne für den Winter 2026/27 in Südamerika noch einmal komplett über den Haufen geworfen – allerdings zugunsten der Passagiere. Die ursprünglich eingeplante MSC Lirica wird aus operativen Gründen vollständig abgezogen. Statt des klassischen, kleineren Schiffes schickt die Reederei nun echte Schwergewichte in die Region: Die Gäste werden primär auf die hochmoderne MSC Virtuosa und die sonnenverliebte MSC Seaview umgebucht. Der Grund für dieses massive "Upsizing" liegt auf der Hand: MSC möchte das exklusive "Yacht Club"-Konzept in Brasilien flächendeckend anbieten, was auf der baulich älteren Lirica schlicht nicht möglich war.
