Es geht wieder los in Finnland. Am 19. Januar 2026 wurde auf der Meyer Turku Werft ein entscheidender Meilenstein erreicht: Der erste Stahlschnitt für das fünfte Schiff der Icon-Klasse ist erfolgt. Damit startet offiziell der Bau eines weiteren Giganten für die Royal Caribbean Group. Intern läuft das Projekt oft einfach unter dem Namen „Icon 5“. Die Auslieferung ist für den Sommer 2028 geplant.
