Phoenix Reisen plays a significant role in Wismar's cruise schedule for the season, with the Bonn-based cruise line accounting for four of the eight planned visits. In addition to today's call by MS Deutschland, the MS Amadea, well-known in Germany as the ship featured in the TV series "Das Traumschiff," will dock in Wismar three times. Its final visit on December 18, 2025, will also conclude the city's cruise season for the year.
Other cruise ships gracing the port include Windstar Cruises' Star Pride, Plantours Kreuzfahrten's MS Hamburg, and Azamara Cruises' Azamara Journey, which is scheduled for two calls during the season.
Overview of Cruise Calls in Wismar 2025:
- May 1, 2025: MS Deutschland (Phoenix Reisen)
- June 1, 2025: Star Pride (Windstar Cruises)
- June 6, 2025: MS Hamburg (Plantours Kreuzfahrten)
- June 11, 2025: Azamara Journey (Azamara Cruises)
- June 19, 2025: MS Amadea (Phoenix Reisen)

Notably, none of the visiting cruise ships will be the largest vessel present in Wismar during 2025. That distinction belongs to the Disney Adventure, currently under construction at the Meyer Wismar shipyard for Disney Cruise Line. The ship, which was recently floated out and will rank among the world's largest cruise ships upon entering service, is currently berthed at a fitting-out quay at the shipyard.
MS Deutschland recently commenced its summer season for Phoenix Reisen. The current voyage, the second of the season catering to German passengers, runs from April 29 to May 12, 2025. Departing from Bremerhaven, the itinerary took the ship via Cuxhaven and through the Kiel Canal to Wismar. From here, MS Deutschland will continue its journey towards Scandinavia this evening.
