A total of 60 visits by the AIDA ships AIDAnova, AIDAbella, and AIDAluna are planned for the Port of Kiel. The diverse itinerary includes destinations in the North Sea and Baltic Sea, encompassing Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Poland, and the British Isles. The season, which runs until the final call by AIDAbella on November 3rd, offers cruises ranging from three to 14 days in duration.
Three Ships, Diverse Routes, and Special Events
Three ships from the fleet will regularly dock in Kiel: AIDAnova (29 calls), AIDAbella (22 calls), and AIDAluna (9 calls). The routes lead to attractive destinations such as the Norwegian fjords, Baltic cities, the Lofoten Islands, and the North Cape. Trips during the White Nights or autumnal tours to witness the Northern Lights are also available. Special highlights include three dates when two AIDA ships will be docked simultaneously: AIDAbella and AIDAluna will meet in Kiel on September 14th and 28th, as well as on October 11th.
Regional Commitment and Focus on Sustainability
AIDA Cruises underscores its long-standing commitment to the Kiel region. Since 2018, the company has sponsored Kiel Week (Kieler Woche), the world's largest sailing event. During the 2025 festival week, there will be three ship visits – AIDAnova (June 21st and 28th) and AIDAbella (June 22nd) – complemented by an onshore event area. Furthermore, since 2023, AIDA Cruises has been a partner in the "Förde Küste" initiative, which, together with the record handball champion THW Kiel, strengthens the engagement of business, science, and society in the region.
In terms of sustainability, AIDA Cruises continues its commitment to using shore power. The cruise line was the first user of the newly opened shore power facility at the Ostseekai terminal in 2021. In 2025, AIDA plans to make intensive use of shore power during port stays and further expand its utilization. The facility is currently being upgraded to enable the simultaneous supply of environmentally friendly electricity to two ships starting in autumn 2025.
