The recently concluded ocean crossing, which was available to book in various segments, offered a special reason for celebration yesterday: the ship marked its 17th birthday at sea. This morning, the voyage officially concluded at the Cruise Center Steinwerder in Hamburg. Immediately after the disembarkation of the transatlantic passengers, boarding commenced for the next journey: a seven-day cruise heading to Kiel via Kristiansand, Oslo, Gothenburg, Copenhagen, and Århus, scheduled to arrive in the Port of Kiel for the first time this year on May 1, 2025.
The beginning of the season features several short trips to Scandinavia. As the summer of 2025 progresses, AIDAbella will then primarily undertake more extensive cruises. Itineraries lasting ten to fourteen nights exploring Northern Europe and the Baltic Sea are planned.
The final call in Kiel for this year is currently scheduled for November 3, 2025. Immediately following this, AIDAbella will embark on a Western Europe cruise destined for the Canary Islands. The ship will be positioned in this region for the first half of the 2025/26 winter season.
Subsequently, a significant refurbishment is planned: From January 22 to March 10, 2026, AIDAbella will be taken out of service for a scheduled dry dock period at Chantiers Naval de Marseille. As part of the fleet-wide "AIDA Evolution" program, the ship will undergo extensive modernization and receive various upgrades.
