Trieste – After a journey spanning over four months around the globe, the Costa Deliziosa arrived at the port of Trieste this Wednesday, concluding its 2025 World Cruise. For the more than 2,000 passengers, ranging in age from one to 96, this marked the end of an extraordinary travel experience. Since embarking on December 7, 2024, the vessel visited 52 different destinations across 21 countries on four continents. This extensive type of cruise represents a traditional, annual offering in the Costa Cruises portfolio.

A Voyage Through Diverse Cultures and Landscapes

This year's itinerary led travellers to a multitude of impressive locations. These included vibrant cities in Brazil and Argentina, remote Polynesian islands, the natural landscapes of New Zealand and Australia, as well as natural wonders in South Africa and Namibia. A standout event of the journey was the New Year's Eve celebration in Rio de Janeiro, where passengers could witness the fireworks over Copacabana directly from the ship.

With its arrival in Trieste, the Costa Deliziosa is now preparing for its summer season. Starting April 19th, it will operate in the Eastern Mediterranean. Two alternating eight-day routes are planned, which can also be combined into a 14-day voyage.

Outlook on Future World Cruises

Costa Cruises is already accepting bookings for its next global voyages. The 2026 World Cruise is set to begin on November 21, 2025, from Trieste. It will last 142 days, travelling through the Western Mediterranean, the Caribbean, South America, Polynesia, Australia, Asia, and Africa.

One year later, on November 26, 2026, the 2027 World Cruise will depart from Savona. This 139-day journey includes stops on the East and West coasts of the USA, Hawaii and Tahiti, Australia, Asia, and Africa. For those interested in shorter durations, it is also possible to book segments of these world cruises.

Onboard Offerings on the Costa Deliziosa

During its voyages, the Costa Deliziosa offers its guests a diverse program. Culinary highlights in the main and specialty restaurants include dishes created by star chefs Bruno Barbieri, Hélène Darroze, and Ángel León. Entertainment is provided through various activities, live music, and shows. For relaxation, the "Sole Mio Spa" is available, featuring a beauty salon, sauna, thalassotherapy pool, and various massage treatments.
