These special episodes, shot on the cruise ship AIDAprima, bring a fresh twist to the successful format. The amateur chefs drew inspiration from the magical atmosphere of the Orient and created diverse menus designed to delight the senses. During filming, the ship visited destinations such as Abu Dhabi, Sir Bani Yas, Bahrain, and Dubai, where the participants had the opportunity to shop for fresh ingredients at local markets.

They were accompanied by AIDA gourmet mentors Felicitas Then and Franu Schned, who supported them on their culinary shopping trips. The preparation of the dishes took place in the modern kitchens of the AIDAprima. In addition to the culinary highlights, the show offers insights into life on board, the ship's kitchen, and the crew's restaurant, making the AIDAprima itself an unofficial star of the series.

Alongside the broadcast of the special episodes, an extensive marketing campaign is running. Promotional trailers have been airing on TV, online on the VOX website, and on the social media channels of VOX and AIDA since March 21, 2025. Viewers can also participate in an exclusive giveaway for a travel voucher from AIDA Cruises.
