In recent months, the Regal Princess has repeatedly made headlines due to technical issues. These problems led to canceled sailings as early as last fall. During the dry dock in Rotterdam, the identified issues are expected to be permanently resolved. According to Princess Cruises, the technical problems do not currently impact the safety of the ship or the comfort of its guests.
Following the repairs, the Regal Princess is slated to operate Northern Europe cruises during the summer of 2025, with Southampton as its home port. Currently, the ship is positioned in the Caribbean, where no shipyard equipped to handle a vessel of this size is available.
