Today, Monday, November 4, 2024, the ocean-going ship Vasco da Gama from nicko cruises sets sail again - this time with guests on board. After a crossing of the Red Sea without passengers, the ship arrived safely at the port of Salalah in Oman. Since disembarking on Wednesday, 30 October 2024, in Safaga, Egypt, the guests took part in a land program.

The travelers were brought to Salalah by charter flight, where they were accommodated in a luxurious 5-star hotel and enjoyed a varied excursion program. Now the participants of the world tour and the guests of the current leg are back on board the Vasco da Gama.

The first leg of nicko cruises' 2024/25 world cruise runs from October 23 to November 10, 2024, starting in Heraklion on Crete and ending in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. From Salalah, the journey leads via Muscat, Fujairah and Abu Dhabi to Dubai. Due to the land program, guests on this leg spend 13 of a total of 18 nights on the ship.

The Vasco da Gama continues its 148-day world tour, which includes 64 ports in 26 countries, as planned. The route leads from Asia via Australia to South America, past Cape Horn and along the South American coast. The voyage ends on March 18, 2025 in Santa Cruz on Tenerife.
