In the Mediterranean season 2024, which is coming to an end, Mein Schiff 6 has been in operation since the summer for one-week Adriatic cruises from/to Trieste. After a final one-week voyage from Trieste to Crete and another from/to Heraklion, the ship is now leaving the Mediterranean for Asia. The first leg of this long transit will take nine days to Las Palmas on Gran Canaria, the second leg will last 16 days and end in Cape Town, South Africa, and the third leg will take the ship to Singapore in 20 days.
As the security situation in the Gulf of Aden is currently tense, this fall's route deviates from the usual voyage through the Suez Canal and the Red Sea and instead goes around Africa. Passengers will be able to enjoy several days at sea on this route.
To make the on-board program for this special voyage even more varied, TUI Cruises has invited guest artists. Between November 3 and 12, 2024, the well-known professional dancer Christian Polanc will enrich the entertainment on board Mein Schiff 6 together with big band entertainer Tom Gaebel. Dance shows and workshops are planned, while Tom Gaebel and his big band will celebrate a premiere on the Mein Schiff fleet. Pop singer Patrick Lindner is expected on board for the follow-up voyage, “16 Nights - Transafrica”, which runs from November 12 to 28, 2024.
Mein Schiff 6 is scheduled to arrive in Singapore on December 17, 2024. In Southeast Asia, it will serve as a port of embarkation and disembarkation during the 2024/2025 winter season and offer a Christmas and New Year's Eve cruise, among others. The ship's Asian season will last until the beginning of May 2025.
