A planned cruise on the “Aidamar” came to an unforeseen end for a 53-year-old vacationer in Warnemünde on Thursday, October 31. The woman wanted to start her journey on the cruise ship, but the Rostock-based shipping company Aida refused her access. The reason: the passenger was obviously heavily intoxicated.

According to the police, the incident occurred at the Warnemünde Cruise Center in the morning when the shipping company refused the woman access due to her alcohol level. The 53-year-old woman then protested loudly against the decision, which led to a conflict. At around 14:30, the federal police were finally called in.

After a check by the officers, it emerged that the woman was wanted by the public prosecutor's office in Aachen. The police then ordered the woman to leave the premises. When she continued to be uncooperative and disrupted the business, the police applied for a court order to take her into temporary custody.

The 53-year-old was then held in a custody cell until around 17:30 before being released. At this point, the “Aidamar” was already on its way from Warnemünde to Aarhus in Denmark - the woman missed her cruise.
