Two cruises are initially scheduled for the start of the winter season: a one-week metropolitan route and a four-day short trip to Oslo in Norway. On November 13, 2024, however, the AIDAnova will temporarily suspend its operations in order to move to the Damen Shiprepair dry dock in Rotterdam for planned maintenance work. The last major shipyard visit took place in Brest in the fall of 2021, and the upcoming maintenance includes important upkeep and refurbishment work.
Once the work has been completed, the AIDAnova will return to active cruise operations on December 2, 2024. In keeping with the Advent season, the ship will then be decked out with festive decorations and winter-themed features to create a festive atmosphere on board.
From mid-December 2024 to mid-April 2025, the AIDAnova will offer three one-week itineraries from Hamburg: “Metropolises from Hamburg”, “Southern Norway from Hamburg” and “Norway and Denmark from Hamburg”. These voyages can also be combined into a two-week trip and promise winter experiences in Northern and Western Europe.
