The Sky Princess, a cruise ship operated by Princess Cruises, has arrived in the Port of Hamburg for the first time. She docked at the Cruise Center Steinwerder, marking the tenth and final first call of a cruise ship in Hamburg for 2024. The Sky Princess is currently on a five-day round trip from Southampton, with an overnight stay in the Hanseatic city.

To celebrate the first call, the traditional plaque handover took place, meaning that the Sky Princess now carries a Hamburg port plaque on board. The ship will end its 2024 European season in around a month and then set course for warmer climes. Before switching to the Caribbean for the 2024/2025 winter season, a two-week Mediterranean voyage and a twelve-day Canary Islands cruise are still to come.
This year, Hamburg has already recorded the first calls of several cruise ships, including the expedition ship Ocean Albatros, the Costa Favolosa, the Seabourn Quest, the new Queen Anne from Cunard, the Oceania Sirena, the Azamara Onward, the Disney Dream, the new Mein Schiff 7 from TUI Cruises and the luxury ship Silver Dawn.

The Sky Princess will leave the port of Hamburg this Thursday evening at 8 p.m. and return to Southampton. Another visit by the ship to Hamburg is already planned: From October 16-17, 2025, the Sky Princess will dock again in the Port of Hamburg and spend an overnight stay in the city.
