nicko cruises has adapted its sales strategy in order to provide even more targeted support for its stationary sales and partners. This adjustment includes changes in the responsibilities for Austria and Switzerland as well as a new orientation of the international business. Switzerland will now be separated from the “International Sales” team, and Austria will no longer be managed by sales representatives. Instead, the most important partners in both countries will be looked after by key account management in future. With these changes, nicko cruises is creating a solid basis for further growth and closer cooperation with its most important sales partners.

With its comprehensive sales measures, the company continues to emphasize the central importance of stationary sales. In order to make cooperation with its partners even more efficient, the cruise operator has reorganized its sales structure. The main objectives of this reorganization are the clear separation of responsibilities in Switzerland and Austria as well as a realignment of the international business area.

The leading sales partners in Switzerland and Austria will now be looked after by key account management, with Laura Wendler for Switzerland and Dennis Rissberger for Austria as coordinators. Specific e-mail addresses have been set up for the travel agencies in both countries: schweiz@nicko-cruises.de and oesterreich@nicko-cruises.de. These are managed by Isabella Miller, who recently joined the nicko cruises sales team as Junior Key Account Manager. Ann-Katrin Merk and Szilvia Ihasz, both working in the “International Sales” team, will in future concentrate on all non-German-speaking markets.

Michaela Schedel, who reports directly to Bert Freter, Head of Sales, will be in charge of these two areas, i.e. international sales and key account management. Bert Freter explains: “With this realignment, we are laying the foundation for growth in both areas and at the same time strengthening the close relationship with our sales partners.”

About nicko cruises

nicko cruises Schiffsreisen GmbH is one of the leading cruise operators in Germany. The company has developed from a renowned river cruise operator with over 30 years of experience into a major provider of ocean cruises and world cruises. With the elegant ocean-going vessel VASCO DA GAMA, which accommodates a maximum of 1,000 guests on board, nicko cruises offers cruises to a wide variety of destinations worldwide throughout the year. The company also operates a modern and comfortable river cruise fleet with 18 ships that sail on all relevant rivers and coastal stretches.

Under the motto “time to discover”, nicko cruises places particular emphasis on varied travel experiences on both river and ocean cruises. The company emphasizes the concept of “slow cruising”, which focuses on smaller ships and longer stays in order to offer travelers intense experiences and emotional moments. The fleet offers 4- to 5-star comfort in line with German hotel standards. Special highlights are the outstanding service, which begins with the pick-up at the front door, as well as a wide range of shore excursions and culinary experiences on board. The headquarters of nicko cruises is located in Stuttgart, where around 120 dedicated employees work.
