The standout feature of this project is its fractional ownership concept, developed by the Swiss company Splendid Sea AG with the expertise of veteran captain Matthias Bosse. Instead of bearing the immense solo costs of purchase, maintenance, and crew, a strictly limited circle of up to 300 handpicked members shares ownership through an asset-protected foundation. Each co-owner is contractually entitled to four weeks of vacation time on board per year. To ensure absolute parity, the design by Mercedes-Benz and Dölker + Voges embraces an egalitarian layout: there is no massive owner's suite, but rather 30 identical, 74-square-meter luxury residence-style suites accommodating up to 72 guests across port and starboard.
To ensure an uncompromised relaxation experience on the main vessel, all recreational and logistical equipment is outsourced to a separate 70-meter support vessel. This shadow vessel carries the tender boats, jet skis, and water toys, and also features the helipad, elegantly keeping any noise from takeoffs and landings away from the guests. On board the main yacht, vacationers enjoy tranquil surroundings, fine dining helmed by international top chefs, a holistic spa, a tiered infinity pool, and a stern-integrated beach club offering direct access to the sea. The vessel will chase the sun globally, cruising the Mediterranean in the summer and relocating to the Caribbean and the Indian Ocean during the winter months.
Sustainability is another area where Lloyd Werft, backed by the engineering expertise of the Lürssen Group, is setting benchmarks for the future. "Beyond Horizons" will feature a state-of-the-art, methanol-ready hybrid propulsion system, running on eco-friendly biodiesel during the transition phase and shifting to climate-neutral green methanol once infrastructure permits. Advanced insulation glazing, heat recovery systems, and highly efficient air conditioning will drastically reduce the vessel's hotel load energy consumption. This eco-conscious philosophy extends into the interior, which exclusively features certified, cruelty-free leather alternatives and sustainable composites.
