With the new "Mein Schiff Flow," TUI Cruises is increasingly catering to families. A highlight is the new, in-house Kids Club mascot "Finni," a blue fish with a red backpack. Following an exciting teaser campaign about a "mysterious egg," Finni was officially introduced at the end of May 2026, replacing the previous "Capt'n Sharky" on this ship. Together with the agency RWS Global, an interactive family program was developed, ranging from a game show to a ship-wide treasure hunt.

The "Mein Schiff Flow" belongs to the new InTUItion class built in Italy and sets new standards in the fleet. With space for nearly 4,000 guests, the ship is significantly larger than its predecessors. The new build also scores points for environmental protection: Thanks to modern dual-fuel engines currently powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG) and an optimized hull shape, emissions and fuel consumption are significantly reduced.

To accommodate the different generations on board, the cabin concept was also adapted. In addition to new family cabins, there are impressive suites. The "Große Freiheit Suite" even spans two decks and cleverly combines the needs of children and adults with a gaming console and an infrared cabin. The target group is thus consciously expanded beyond the previous Best Agers to include multi-generational families.

In addition to the innovations on board, TUI Cruises also demonstrates great flexibility in route planning. Due to the tense security situation in the Red Sea, the planned Orient season for the winter of 2026/2027 was completely canceled. Instead, the "Mein Schiff Flow" will spend the winter in Europe.

The newly launched short-term routes focus on slowing down and take the ship to destinations such as Norway, the Baltic Sea, or the Canary Islands. To retain disappointed Orient customers, the cruise line utilizes intelligent yield management and offers targeted discounts, especially for the cooler cruising areas in the North. Thus, the ship not only serves as a test balloon for the new family concept but also shows how important flexibility is in today's cruise industry.
