On March 10, 2026, it was "cast off" for the "Disney Adventure". The new cruise ship has embarked on its maiden voyage from Singapore right on schedule. For the very first time in its company history, Disney Cruise Line is permanently stationing a ship in the Asian region. This marks the beginning of a new chapter for maritime tourism in this area.

The history of this giant is quite extraordinary. Originally, the hull was built in Wismar, Germany, under the name "Global Dream" for the Asian casino market. Following the bankruptcy of the original client, Disney took over the unfinished ship. With an investment of around 1.8 billion US dollars, it was transformed into a family-friendly premium resort. To ensure the high standard of service, the maximum passenger capacity was deliberately reduced to around 6,700 guests.

On board, vacationers can expect seven elaborately designed themed areas. An absolute eye-catcher is the three-deck-high "Storybook Castle" – the first physical Disney castle on a cruise ship. Up on the top deck, action fans will find the "Ironcycle Test Run," currently the longest rollercoaster at sea. In the evenings, elaborate Broadway-level stage shows provide top-tier entertainment, including an exclusive world premiere featuring the beloved characters WALL-E and EVE.

Culinary-wise, the Disney Adventure strongly focuses on authentic Asian cuisine alongside international classics. The ship is used exclusively for three- to four-day "Cruises to Nowhere." These trips start and end in Singapore without calling at any other ports. The concept is especially popular with families and cruise newcomers, as the ship itself becomes the actual destination, offering non-stop experiences.
