AIDA Cruises is ringing in the crucial phase for one of the event highlights of 2026. With the launch of the AIDAradio Newcomer Contest on January 26, the search for fresh talent for the AIDA Festival Cruise has officially begun. Until February 22, bands, solo artists, and DJs can apply to secure a coveted slot on the main stage of the AIDAprima. The competition aims to provide a platform for unknown musicians alongside established stars. Following a pre-selection by an expert jury, a public online voting process in March will determine the winner, who will then share the stage with national heavyweights.

The four-day voyage takes place from June 8 to 12, 2026, traveling from Hamburg via Zeebrugge and back to the Hanseatic city. The concept focuses entirely on "Glamping at Sea": a festival feeling without mud and canned food, but with comfortable cabins and wellness facilities instead. The AIDAprima, a Hyper-Class ship, is ideally suited for this endeavor. The covered Beach Club, in particular, guarantees that parties can take place independently of the weather and at summery temperatures, even if conditions on the North Sea turn rough.

For the musical program, the cruise line has put together an impressive line-up in cooperation with the GLÜCKSGEFÜHLE Festival. A total of 32 artists will ensure a great atmosphere across four different stages. Confirmed headliners include SDP, Clueso, and Bausa, who will perform in the Theatrium. For the party crowd, acts like Mia Julia and Captain Jack will heat things up in the Beach Club, while fans of electronic music will get their money's worth in the club areas with beats from Neelix or Le Shuuk.

This event voyage is part of the celebrations for the 30th anniversary of AIDA Cruises. Through the strategic partnership with the land-based GLÜCKSGEFÜHLE Festival, the cruise line combines classic cruise logistics with modern festival culture. The route, featuring two sea days, was deliberately chosen to position the ship itself as the primary destination and event location, allowing guests maximum time for concerts and life on board.
