The MSC Meraviglia will not be operating from New York during the 2026-27 winter season as originally planned. Instead, the vessel will relocate its operations to PortMiami. This change was recently announced to passengers whose bookings from the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal were affected and consequently had to be canceled.

MSC Cruises' decision stems from a new strategy to deploy the ship on six- and eight-day sailings from Florida. These new itineraries will take passengers to the Caribbean and the Bahamas. In response to this adjustment, MSC has offered affected guests various rebooking options and expressed its understanding for the inconvenience caused.

The original week-long cruises from New York, which began on Sundays and included stops at MSC's private island, Ocean Cay, as well as Nassau and Port Canaveral, have been discontinued. The new itineraries for the MSC Meraviglia from Miami will now feature destinations such as Grand Turk, St. Maarten, and St. Kitts, with the popular Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve remaining a key port of call.

For those interested in booking, the new cruises from PortMiami are available for reservation starting August 6, 2025. The MSC Meraviglia will not be the only ship sailing from South Florida that season; the MSC Seaside and the MSC Poesia will also be homeported there. The fleet will be further complemented by the newly launched MSC World America, which also operates out of PortMiami.
