This partnership includes the "Around the World" concert series, which showcases musical-cultural diversity from around the globe. Alexander Ewig, Senior Vice President Marketing & Sales, explains the significance: "The Elbphilharmonie, like AIDA Cruises itself, is a place of encounter, discovery, and inspiration. Our sponsorship is a clear commitment to Hamburg and to the unifying power of culture." The next event in the series, on October 4, will feature a concert with George Dalaras. Titled "Rembetiko – The Blues of the Greeks," he will take the audience on a musical journey. The collaboration includes numerous other concerts planned until the summer of 2026.
The Rostock-based company also demonstrates its dedication to the arts and culture in its home region. As a main sponsor of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival, it highlights how culture can move people. As part of this cooperation, many school classes visited a concert on the port side of the AIDAmar in Warnemünde in May 2025. Furthermore, AIDA is the patron of one of this season's highlights: a concert featuring Anne-Sophie Mutter and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra with music by Hollywood legend John Williams on August 31 at the Redefin State Stud Farm.
With this new partnership, AIDA Cruises underscores its strong connection to the metropolis on the Elbe. The company promotes culture and aims to create special experiences that go beyond the voyage itself. As an active member of Hamburg's society, AIDA Cruises supports not only the Elbphilharmonie but also other local initiatives such as the "Hafen hilft" association, the Hamburg Port Anniversary, the Hamburg Cruise Days, and the Seafarers' Mission. Additionally, AIDA is advancing a project with the Bundesliga football club Hamburger SV to promote inclusion and diversity.
