Weather Disruption in Norway: MSC Poesia Alters Course, Calls at Bergen Instead of Stavanger

Passengers aboard the MSC Poesia on its current Norway cruise are experiencing an unexpected adjustment to their itinerary. Due to adverse weather conditions, particularly strong winds, the cruise ship was unable to call at the port of Stavanger as scheduled this Tuesday. The safety of passengers and crew is the cruise line's top priority, and a safe entry into the port could not be guaranteed.

The ship's command informed guests of the necessary change on Monday. As an attractive alternative, the Hanseatic city of Bergen was promptly added to the route, where the MSC Poesia docked this morning instead.

This situation is not an isolated incident along the Norwegian coast at present. The challenging weather has led to schedule changes for other vessels as well. For instance, on the same day, the AIDAnova had to divert from its planned destination of Nordfjordeid and head to the port of Alesund instead.
