Der Kreuzfahrtalltag auf der AIDAperla wurde im Juli 2026 durch einen medizinischen Notfall auf der Nordsee unterbrochen. Das 300 Meter lange Schiff befand sich auf dem Weg von Hamburg in das norwegische Haugesund, als eine sofortige Notausschiffung (MedEvac) unausweichlich wurde. Da die exzellent ausgestatteten Bordhospitäler bei hochkomplexen Akutfällen an ihre Grenzen stoßen, forderte die medizinische Crew in enger Absprache mit der Brücke landgestützte Hilfe an. Die Rettung eines Menschenlebens hat auf See stets höchste Priorität.
