Die AIDAprima feiert ihren zehnten Geburtstag am 7. Mai 2026 ausnahmsweise nicht auf dem Ozean, sondern im Trockendock der Damen Shiprepair Werft in Rotterdam. Dort steht die turnusmäßige Zehn-Jahres-Prüfung an. Der Rumpf wird gereinigt und erhält einen neuen Silikonanstrich, was zusammen mit dem speziellen Luftblasen-System (MALS) für weniger Wasserwiderstand und einen geringeren Treibstoffverbrauch sorgt. Auch die Antriebsgondeln und Ventile werden in dieser Zeit intensiv gewartet.
