Die Kreuzfahrtwelt steht vor einer beispiellosen Herausforderung. Wegen der extrem angespannten geopolitischen Lage im Nahen Osten kommt es aktuell zu massiven Ausfällen. Davon ist besonders TUI Cruises stark betroffen. Gleich zwei Schiffe, die „Mein Schiff 4“ und die „Mein Schiff 5“, stecken im Arabischen Golf fest. Der übliche Weg durch das Rote Meer und den Suezkanal ist für zivile Schiffe derzeit schlichtweg zu gefährlich. Eine alternative Fahrt komplett um den afrikanischen Kontinent herum würde zu viel Zeit in Anspruch nehmen. Dadurch gerät der gesamte Fahrplan der Reederei ins Wanken.

TUI Cruises has been particularly hard hit by this. Two ships, the "Mein Schiff 4" and the "Mein Schiff 5", are stuck in the Arabian Gulf. The usual route through the Red Sea and the Suez Canal is currently simply too dangerous for civilian ships.
