In response to high demand, the Guinness World Record® activities program will be extended across the entire fleet, giving more families the opportunity to break records or participate in exciting competitions onboard.
Matteo Mancini, Family Entertainment Development Director at MSC Cruises, emphasizes the company's focus: "As a family-owned company, we deeply understand the needs of families on vacation. Our established 'Doremiland' program, with its tailored offerings, dedicated areas, and diverse activities like game shows, cinema, and water parks, forms the foundation. For the upcoming summer, we are intensifying our commitment by merging technology with captivating activities to create unforgettable moments. Guests can look forward to more interactive game formats, an expanded sports offering, additional parties, and a revised program for teenagers. Regardless of the destination, we guarantee boundless fun onboard."
The New Additions in Detail:
- LEGO® Family Game Show: Following its successful launch on the MSC World America, this interactive game show, where families compete against each other using LEGO® bricks, will be introduced fleet-wide starting June 2025. The "LEGO® Sailor Walkabout," an official mascot, will accompany the competition.
- LEGO® Family Parade: A parade featuring seven official LEGO® mascots will proceed through the public areas of selected ships (MSC World America, MSC World Europa, MSC Virtuosa, MSC Bellissima, MSC Seashore, MSC Seascape, MSC Meraviglia), inviting passengers to join the celebration.
- MSC ORIGINALS – DOREMIX Family Disco: Starting June 2025, this new family disco will launch on all ships. The mascot Doremi will act as both DJ and judge for dance competitions suitable for all ages. The accompanying soundtrack is available on digital music platforms.
- New Game Shows: Two new, original game shows, "BOXES" and "MSC BOOM," will be introduced. "BOXES" presents participants with unexpected challenges revealed from a self-chosen box, while "MSC BOOM" involves competing for prizes using technology.
- GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS®: The program is being expanded to 16 ships. Besides the chance to set official records, there will be weekly gaming tournaments, such as the PS5 F1® Sim Racing Tournament.
Adapted Offers for Teenagers and Parents:
- Enhanced Teens Club: From June 2025, teenagers (up to 17 years old) fleet-wide will benefit from new experiences, including more sports activities, a special Teens Club edition of the Silent Disco, a Golden Party, and Quiz O’clock.
- Golden Party & Quiz for Parents: By popular demand, the "Golden Party" is being introduced as an exclusive event for parents, offering relaxation and entertainment. It complements existing themed parties like the White Party, Glow Party, and Sunshine Party. Additionally, quiz enthusiasts can test their knowledge with 75 new, original quiz questions during "Quiz O’Clock."
Existing Infrastructure for Children and Families:
MSC Cruises provides five complimentary kids' clubs across all ships for different age groups (6 months to 17 years):
- Baby Club Chicco (6 months – 2 years)
- Miniclub Lego (3 – 6 years)
- Juniors Club Lego (7 – 11 years)
- Young Club (12 – 14 years)
