The well-known cruise ship MS Deutschland is returning to the German market for the summer season this year. As established in previous years, the vessel is chartered by the Bonn-based tour operator Phoenix Reisen. This established cooperation ensures that the MS Deutschland is available for cruises in Northern European waters during the summer months. Outside of this period, particularly in winter, the ship continues to be used for the "Semester at Sea" program.

For the upcoming 2025 summer season, Bremerhaven has been designated as the home port for MS Deutschland. The port on the Weser estuary will thus serve as the starting and ending point for the planned sea voyages. The first cruise of the season will commence shortly and is designed as a short trip to European metropolises. The itinerary includes calls at the ports of Portsmouth (UK), Rouen (France), Zeebrugge (Belgium), and Ijmuiden (Netherlands). The ship's return to Bremerhaven is expected as early as next Tuesday.
