Modernized AIDAdiva Returns and Joins the Celebration
A special highlight is scheduled shortly after the season begins: On April 26th, AIDAdiva will return to Warnemünde following an extensive modernization. Its arrival is scheduled for Saturday evening around 6:00 PM, just in time for the first Port Party of the year. The ship will remain docked overnight and depart on April 27th at 5:00 PM. Notably, on the same day, its sister ship AIDAmar is also expected at the Baltic Sea resort. AIDAdiva is also scheduled to participate in the popular Port Parties again on September 20th. These events traditionally attract numerous visitors with their vibrant maritime program.
Diverse Itineraries and Spectacular Double Ship Arrivals
During the 2025 season, AIDAmar and AIDAdiva will offer a wide range of cruises departing from Warnemünde. Voyage durations vary between three and 14 days. Passengers can look forward to fascinating itineraries along the North Sea and Baltic Sea coasts. Destinations include the Norwegian fjords and major Baltic cities such as Riga, Tallinn, and Klaipeda, including the Curonian Spit. Further highlights include calls at the island of Bornholm, Gdansk in Poland, and the capitals Stockholm and Helsinki. A total of 68 calls by the two ships are planned for Warnemünde this year. The AIDA season concludes on November 5th with the final visit from AIDAdiva.
A special spectacle for cruise enthusiasts and onlookers will be the three planned double calls. On these days – in addition to April 27th, also on June 14th and July 12th – both AIDAmar and AIDAdiva will be docked simultaneously in the port of Warnemünde. This not only allows for a dual cruise experience for guests on board but also offers impressive departure maneuvers that can be watched from the quay.
Strong Regional Commitment as Employer and Partner
AIDA Cruises underscores its connection to the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern region not only through the presence of its ships. As the state's largest private employer, the company employs over 18,000 staff members from more than 60 nations, with around 1,200 based at the company headquarters in Rostock. For many years, AIDA Cruises has acted as a reliable partner for major cultural and maritime events. This includes sponsoring the Hanse Sail, the state's largest maritime festival, which will once again attract hundreds of thousands of visitors to Rostock and Warnemünde from August 7th to 10th, 2025. Both ships will be present that weekend: AIDAmar on August 7th & 10th, and AIDAdiva on August 9th.
Furthermore, a partnership has existed for over two decades with the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, a renowned classical music festival, for which AIDA serves as the main sponsor. A special event within this cooperation is a children's concert in May 2025 aboard AIDAmar, where around 600 students from Rostock and the surrounding area will experience music in a unique way.
Consistent Use of Shore Power Planned for All Calls
In line with its sustainability strategy, AIDA Cruises plans the consistent use of shore power during port stays in Warnemünde. This applies to all planned calls by AIDAmar and AIDAdiva, even on days when both ships are docked simultaneously in the port.
