Before AIDAperla starts its regular summer schedule from late April, two shorter five-day cruises and one seven-day voyage to Norway are planned first. Starting April 26, 2025, the ship will then operate weekly alternating itineraries on the designated "Metropolis Route" and to destinations in the Norwegian fjords. The Port of Hamburg will serve as the central hub for passenger turnaround every Saturday. AIDAperla is taking over these weekly departures from Hamburg from AIDAnova. The latter ship will be repositioned to Kiel at the end of April to commence its own summer season from there.
This operational plan marks a change compared to previous years. From 2022 to 2024, AIDAperla was consistently deployed during the summer on nine- to eleven-day cruises to the Norwegian fjords departing from Hamburg. These longer fjord itineraries will now be operated by its sister ship, AIDAprima, during the 2025 summer season. Consequently, the two structurally identical Hyperion-class ships are swapping their primary routes out of Hamburg compared to the last three years.
AIDAperla is scheduled for regular calls in Hamburg until October 25, 2025. Following the Northern Europe season, the ship will undertake another transatlantic crossing in the autumn for deployment in the Caribbean. There, it will follow the established pattern of previous winter seasons, sailing the "Caribbean Islands" itinerary with departures from either the Dominican Republic or Barbados.
The season's initial short voyage will take AIDAperla from April 9th to 14th, 2025. Departing from Hamburg, the itinerary includes a day at sea before calling at Eidfjord and Stavanger in Norway, followed by another day at sea before returning to Hamburg.
