Immediately following the guest exchange, AIDAcosma begins a seven-day repositioning cruise. This voyage will take the ship to Palma de Mallorca, which will serve as the primary homeport for the upcoming summer season in the Western Mediterranean.
Since early November 2024, AIDAcosma has been continuously operating on a weekly route within the Canary Archipelago. Passengers could start this journey either on Saturdays from Gran Canaria or Wednesdays from Tenerife. The typical itinerary from Gran Canaria included a sea day en route to Funchal, Madeira, another sea day to Santa Cruz de Tenerife, followed by calls at Puerto del Rosario, Fuerteventura, and Arrecife, Lanzarote, before the ship returned to Las Palmas.
AIDAcosma's Mediterranean season commences this year around Easter time. The ship will primarily operate on three different, combinable routes: "Mediterrane Schätze mit Korsika" (Mediterranean Treasures with Corsica), "Mediterrane Schätze mit Sardinien" (Mediterranean Treasures with Sardinia), and "Mediterrane Schätze mit Gibraltar" (Mediterranean Treasures with Gibraltar). Embarkation ports for these summer voyages are Barcelona on Fridays and Palma de Mallorca on Saturdays.
The Canary Islands route previously operated by AIDAcosma will be taken over by AIDAprima in one week. This ship, arriving from the Orient, will operate the "Canaries & Madeira from Gran Canaria" route twice in the spring of 2025 before commencing its summer season in Northern European waters. For the winter of 2025/26, AIDAcosma is scheduled to return for its third season on the established Canary Islands route, featuring stops in Gran Canaria, Madeira, Tenerife, Fuerteventura, and Lanzarote.
Current Itinerary of AIDAcosma (April 5 - 12, 2025): The ongoing repositioning voyage follows this route: Las Palmas (Gran Canaria) – Arrecife (Lanzarote) – Sea Day – Cadiz – Sea Day – Alicante – Barcelona – Palma de Mallorca.
