AIDA Cruises Releases Crew Song "Evolution" After AIDAdiva Shipyard Stay

Rostock – Following a seven-week dry dock period for AIDAdiva in Marseille, cruise line AIDA Cruises has released a new crew song titled "Evolution". The accompanying video provides insights into the cruise ship's recently completed modernization phase. It features impressions from the shipyard work, singing and dancing crew members, and various recreational activities organized for the team during this demanding period.

The release of "Evolution" continues a tradition AIDA Cruises established in 2017. At that time, a dedicated crew song ("Richtung Horizont ins Glück" – meaning "Towards the Horizon to Happiness") was first produced for the commissioning of AIDAperla. This practice was continued with subsequent new builds: "Off we go" was released for the AIDAnova crew in 2018, followed by "We love to see you smile" marking the introduction of AIDAcosma in 2022.

Such extensive shipyard periods, much like the commissioning of new vessels, represent a unique phase for the entire onboard crew, presenting specific challenges. The newly released song "Evolution" aims not only to offer a change of pace but also to help forge a positive and emotional connection to this significant project involving AIDAdiva.

Following its comprehensive modernization, AIDAdiva resumed passenger service on March 23, 2025. The vessel is currently undertaking the second of its three scheduled spring voyages in the Mediterranean, calling at destinations in Italy and Malta.
