The affected stretch runs between the Hamburg-Heimfeld and Hamburg-Stellingen junctions. The closure will be in effect from Friday evening (March 28, 10 PM) until early Monday (March 31, 5 AM), significantly disrupting regional traffic.

Impact on Cruise Passengers

The closure will particularly affect travelers aboard the cruise ships AIDAnova and AIDAsol, which are scheduled to dock in and depart from Hamburg on Saturday, March 29, 2025. Passengers are advised to allow extra travel time and use alternative routes to avoid congestion.

Large-scale diversions will be implemented for through traffic:

  • From the south (e.g., Hanover/Bremen): Detour via the Buchholzer Dreieck or Horster Dreieck, continuing on the A1 (Maschener Kreuz).
  • From the north (e.g., Flensburg/Kiel): Detour starting at Neumünster-Süd, redirecting to the B205.
