AIDA Cruises Unveils New Episode of "Super wird mega" Focused on AIDAdiva Modernization

In August 2024, AIDA Cruises launched the video series "Super wird mega," dedicated to the upcoming modernization of the Sphinx-class ships under the AIDA Evolution program. A new episode is released monthly, and now the sixth installment is available on AIDA Cruises’ official YouTube channel.

Following over two years of extensive preparation, the AIDAdiva is set to enter the shipyard in Marseille on February 2, 2025. For seven weeks, the ship will be in dry dock to undergo a comprehensive overhaul. As the first vessel of its class, the AIDAdiva will receive an extensive makeover, covering nearly all areas onboard.

During this period, the ship will transform into a massive construction site spanning 14 decks. Even for experienced leaders like Captain Boris Becker and Project Manager Sven Fahle, this represents uncharted territory. In the latest episode of "Super wird mega," they share insights into the challenges faced during the planning phase and offer a glimpse into the exciting shipyard period about to begin.

This project is particularly meaningful for Captain Boris Becker, who was part of AIDAdiva’s maiden service launch. For him, overseeing this modernization is a deeply personal endeavor, one he is committed to completing successfully.
