The journey starts immediately after a three-week Christmas and New Year’s cruise, which ends in Bremerhaven today. During this holiday voyage, the ship visited Madeira, the Canary Islands, Morocco, and several destinations in Western Europe. Following the Mein Schiff 3 passenger exchange on Sunday, MS Amera is the second cruise ship to dock in Bremerhaven this year. The ship is expected to return to the port in approximately three and a half months to conclude its grand American journey.
This extensive winter cruise was also available for booking in segments, so not all passengers boarding today will stay for the entire 103 days. During the cruise, Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), San Antonio (Chile), and Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic) will serve as ports for passenger changes.
Meanwhile, MS Amera’s sister ships, MS Amadea and MS Artania, have already been on their respective world voyages since December. The MS Amadea’s current journey spans 128 days, while MS Artania is undertaking Phoenix Reisen’s longest world cruise ever, with a total duration of 162 days.
