At the end of 2024, MSC Cruises will implement significant adjustments to its beverage packages Easy, Easy Plus, and Premium Extra. One of the key changes involves the number of alcoholic drinks included in these packages. Going forward, guests will be limited to a maximum of 15 alcoholic drinks per day per person. Non-alcoholic beverages, however, will remain available without limitation within the packages.

Exception for Yacht Club Guests

Guests of the exclusive Yacht Club enjoy an exception: within the Yacht Club, the Premium Extra package will remain unrestricted for alcoholic beverages. Outside the Yacht Club, however, the new limit of 15 alcoholic drinks per day will also apply to these guests.

Different Rules Depending on the Market

For the German market, these changes are new, while they have already been in place in some international segments. For example, the limit has been applied to U.S. sailings for some time. Additionally, the Easy and Easy Plus packages will no longer be available for sale in the U.S. European guests, however, can still book these packages in advance.

Scope and Exceptions

Travelers who booked their MSC cruise before December 18, 2024, will not be affected by the changes. The new rules apply only to bookings made from December 18, 2024, for departures starting April 1, 2025. U.S. sailings are excluded from this adjustment.

Implementation Starting Summer Season 2025

The changes mainly concern cruises for the summer season of 2025. Travelers should take these updates into account when planning their cruise and booking beverage packages to avoid surprises onboard.
