AIDAnova pauses operations for maintenance in Rotterdam
Passengers on a recently completed four-day voyage to Oslo disembarked the ship this morning at Cruise Center Steinwerder. The AIDAnova then made its way to Rotterdam. After leaving the Elbe, she is now sailing on the North Sea and is expected to arrive in Rotterdam tomorrow, Thursday, November 14, 2024.
Three years have passed since her last stay at the shipyard in Brest in the fall of 2021, and it is once again time for important maintenance work. Although no major refits are planned, numerous smaller details are being worked on to prepare the ship for future voyages.
Once the work has been completed, the AIDAnova will resume operations on December 2, 2024 with a five-day cruise. Various one-week tours are planned from December 2024 to April 2025, departing from Hamburg and calling at Scandinavian cities.
During the Advent season, the ship will be transformed into a festive winter wonderland, complete with seasonal decorations and special activities on board. Winter activities include floodlit skiing in Oslo, snowshoeing and ice fishing in Kristiansand and ice skating in Rotterdam.
