On Sunday, October 27, 2024, the AIDAbella will dock at the Baltic Sea quay in Kiel for the last time this year after many Northern European cruises in the 2024 summer season. The passengers on the final voyage on the “Autumnal Northern Lights from Kiel” route will leave the ship on this day. At the same time, the new guests prepare to embark on their transatlantic cruise to the Caribbean.

The sister ship AIDAluna is also moored at the Ostseekai in Kiel today. After the two ships set sail together in the evening at around 6 p.m., the AIDAbella is not expected back in Kiel until May 1, 2025. AIDAluna will remain in Kiel a little longer and offer two short cruises from/to Kiel before she also sets sail for the Caribbean on November 4, 2024.

The AIDAbella voyage starting today will take passengers on a 20-day crossing to La Romana in the Dominican Republic. Those who have booked the extended version of the voyage will reach the destination of Montego Bay in Jamaica after 28 days. These two destination ports will also serve as starting points for other AIDAbella Caribbean routes in the upcoming 2024/2025 winter season. In addition to the departures from La Romana and Montego Bay, travelers can also experience cruises from Fort-de-France on Martinique. The AIDAbella will be used for various two-week Caribbean cruises during the winter season.

AIDA Cruises is deploying a total of three ships in the Caribbean for winter 2024/2025: In addition to the AIDAbella, the AIDAluna and the AIDAperla will also be stationed there. While the AIDAperla is already underway, the AIDAbella departs today, and the AIDAluna will set sail for the Caribbean on November 4, 2024.

The AIDAbella is scheduled to return to Kiel for the 2025 summer season to offer two-week cruises through Northern Europe from Kiel, among other things.
