Mein Schiff Relax: Second trial voyage successfully completed and christening in Malaga in April 2025

TUI Cruises may comment on the results of the test voyages in the coming days. The final delivery of the ship at the beginning of 2025 is still several months away. The current plan is to put the new ship into service in March 2025. The festive christening ceremony is scheduled for April 9, 2025 in the Andalusian city of Malaga. The sister ships Mein Schiff 5 and Mein Schiff 7 will also be present at this event. Bookings for the christening voyages on all three ships start tomorrow, October 23, 2024.

Work on Mein Schiff Relax is still in full swing at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone. All areas that are relevant for passengers and crew must function perfectly until the ship is handed over. Each zone will be thoroughly checked by TUI Cruises before the ship is accepted.

Mein Schiff Relax is the first of two new ships that TUI Cruises has ordered from the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy. The sister ship, which has not yet been given a name, is already under construction and is scheduled to enter service in 2026. There will be a number of innovations on the newbuilds of the so-called InTUITion Class. These include new concepts for bars and restaurants, revised suite areas, modernized pool decks and redesigned cabins.
