There are many fresh highlights for the new passengers on board. The wellness area and the areas for children and teenagers have been extensively modernized. A special attraction is the new Dream Tower Suite, which is located in one of the forward funnels. The exclusive Concierge Lounge for suite guests has also been enlarged and redesigned. In addition, there were technical improvements that were tested at sea after leaving the shipyard.
In the 2024 summer season, the Disney Dream sailed on various routes in Europe, including the Mediterranean and Western and Northern Europe. A highlight was the ship's first call in the port of Hamburg on September 3 and 4, 2024, which was celebrated enthusiastically by the city's cruise fans. The ship bid farewell in style as it sailed past the Elbphilharmonie concert hall and the Landungsbrücken.
For the time being, the Disney Dream will not be returning to Europe in the coming years. After the current transatlantic cruise, it will be permanently based in Fort Lauderdale, from where it will offer regular three- to five-day cruises to the Caribbean. From next summer season, the sister ship Disney Fantasy will take over Disney Cruise Line's European routes.
