Triple call in Hamburg: AIDAsol, MSC Preziosa and MS Hamburg on October 06, 2024

On Sunday, October 6, 2024, the Hanseatic city of Hamburg will once again welcome three cruise ships in one day this year. This special triple call includes the AIDAsol from AIDA Cruises, the MSC Preziosa from MSC Cruises and the MS Hamburg from Plantours Kreuzfahrten. While the AIDAsol and MSC Preziosa are already regular guests in the Hanseatic city, the MSC Preziosa will remain stationed in Hamburg throughout the winter of 2024/2025.

The day started early, with AIDAsol being the first of the three ships to dock at the Cruise Center Altona at around 6 a.m.. A passenger changeover between two cruises to Norway and the UK is taking place at this location. The ship will remain in Hamburg until October 23, 2024, before setting off on the great AIDA World Cruise 2024/2025, which will last until February 17, 2025.

At around 6:45 am, the MSC Preziosa followed and docked at the Cruise Center Steinwerder. The ship has been permanently based in Hamburg since spring 2024. On September 29, she started her week-long route to the major cities of Western Europe, which includes cities such as Rotterdam, Zeebrugge, Le Havre and Southampton. This route will run until April 2025, following the ship's summer cruises in Northern Europe.

The third ship, the MS Hamburg, moored at the Cruise Center Baakenhöft at 8:50 am. This smaller cruise ship passed the Elbphilharmonie and the Landungsbrücken before docking for a change of guests. The MS Hamburg starts its 12-day voyage today under the motto “35 years of Plantours Cruises - Britain is great”. At the end of this tour, she will return to Hamburg once again on October 18, 2024, before leaving the Hanseatic city for the year.
