In 2025, Carnival Corporation, the world's largest cruise operator with a total of nine brands, will send its ships to the shipyard for more days than in 2024. The main reasons for this include the AIDA Evolution and the refit of two P&O Australia ships for Carnival Cruise Line. In the coming year, a total of 688 days are planned for dry dock stays, which represents an increase of 17 percent compared to 2024.

During the presentation of the third quarter 2024 financials, Carnival Corporation CEO Josh Weinstein and CFO David Bernstein explained the upcoming drydock days. A large part of the 688 days is due to routine maintenance work. In addition, the AIDAdiva will spend seven weeks in dry dock at the Chantiers Naval shipyard in Marseille in spring 2025 and the AIDAluna in fall 2025. The conversion of the P&O Australia ships Pacific Adventure and Pacific Encounter in Singapore to Carnival Adventure and Carnival Encounter is also part of the plan.

The planned conversion measures as part of the AIDA Evolution and the acquisition of P&O Australia by Carnival Cruise Line represent a significant investment in Carnival Corporation's fleet.

In total, Carnival Corporation comprises around 100 cruise ships of the following brands: AIDA Cruises, Carnival Cruise Line, Costa Crociere, Cunard Line, Holland America Line, P&O Cruises, P&O Australia (which will be integrated into Carnival Cruise Line in 2025) and Seabourn Cruise Line.
