Luxury Yacht Evrima Celebrates Maiden Call in Rostock-Warnemünde

Today, July 28, 2026, the cruise port of Rostock-Warnemünde is experiencing a real highlight: the ultra-luxury yacht "Evrima" is celebrating its maiden call. The first ship of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection moored at berth P1-4 this morning. Originally, the arrival was planned for mid-July but had to be postponed due to weather conditions. As a result, the premiere now coincides with a scheduled triple call. Alongside the 190-meter-long yacht, the "Marina" and the "Ambition" are also being handled today, underlining the port's enormous flexibility.

The "Evrima" represents the current trend of the so-called hotelification of the oceans, where well-known luxury hotels take the step onto the water. Accommodating only 298 passengers in 149 exclusive suites and featuring a crew of 246, the ship offers an extremely high level of personalized service. However, the development of the yacht was marked by major hurdles. Following shipyard insolvencies and supply chain issues, completion was delayed by more than two years. Today, though, the ship shines with modular space concepts and a lowerable marina that offers guests direct access to the sea.

A particular flagship feature of the yacht is its culinary direction. In the specialty restaurant "S.E.A.", passengers can enjoy the creations of German top chef Sven Elverfeld. Since Elverfeld closed his legendary three-star restaurant "Aqua" in Wolfsburg in the spring of 2026, the "Evrima" is now one of the few places worldwide where his outstanding culinary art can still be experienced. In addition to this highlight, the ship offers four other restaurants that do away with fixed dining times and large dining halls.

For the port of Rostock-Warnemünde, the call of the "Evrima" is an important success. Even though ultra-luxury ships do not bring masses of people ashore due to their low passenger numbers, the economic significance is enormous thanks to the guests' high willingness to spend. At the same time, the port is driving forward its ecological transformation. Thanks to modern shore power facilities and a strict focus on sustainable tourism, Rostock-Warnemünde is consolidating its position as a premium destination for cruises in the Baltic Sea.
