As the second ship of the new InTUItion class, the "Mein Schiff Flow" sets completely new standards. With a gross tonnage of approximately 161,000, the ocean liner offers space for nearly 4,000 guests. The innovative, urban design by the Hamburg-based firm JOI Design creates a luxurious resort atmosphere. On board, passengers can expect 14 restaurants, 17 bars, a new central "Diamond" atrium, two-story "Freedom Suites," as well as dedicated cabins for solo travelers.
The ship is also a true pioneer in terms of environmental technology. Equipped with a modern dual-fuel propulsion system, the "Mein Schiff Flow" can operate on lower-emission liquefied natural gas (LNG) and is already prepared for future alternative fuels. A shore power connection for emission-free port operations, advanced catalytic converters, and an innovative waste treatment system round off the eco-friendly profile and help achieve strict global climate targets.
Before regular operations begin, the ship will be thoroughly tested during the pre-launch cruise starting June 14, 2026, from Trieste. The major highlight will follow on June 20 with the christening ceremony under the motto "Go with the Flow". A special twist: Instead of prominent celebrities, three women from the Mein Schiff community—selected from three different generations—will take on the role of godmothers. They will be styled by renowned designer Guido Maria Kretschmer, while musical acts like Tim Bendzko will provide entertainment.
After its ceremonial commissioning, the ship will spend its first summer season in the western Mediterranean, with base ports like Palma de Mallorca. In the subsequent 2026/2027 winter season, the "Mein Schiff Flow" will set a course for Northern Europe and the Baltic Sea, with departures from Hamburg and Kiel. With this, TUI Cruises is securing an even stronger market position in the premium cruise segment.
