The MSC Magnifica Shines Anew: Pure Luxury with the MSC Yacht Club

The retrofit was a true engineering masterpiece. To make room for the 63 new luxury suites, some older areas like the disco and the card room on decks 12, 14, and 15 were transformed. A real standout is the new Top Sail Lounge located at the forward bow. Whether you look out the floor-to-ceiling windows on the port or starboard side, the panoramic views across the open ocean are simply spectacular. Right at the top on deck 16, a private sun deck featuring its own pool and whirlpool awaits Yacht Club guests.

But it’s not just luxury guests who have a reason to celebrate; there is great news for all passengers. The MSC Magnifica now boasts two new specialty restaurants: the classic Butcher's Cut steakhouse and the Asian-inspired Kaito Sushi Bar. For those seeking relaxation after a shore excursion, the completely renovated and expanded MSC Aurea Spa is the perfect retreat. Families have also been thought of, as a new Baby Club expands the comprehensive childcare offerings for the youngest guests.

Why invest so much money in a ship that has already been sailing for several years? It's simple: The massive mega-ships are often unable to dock at many smaller or protected ports, like those found in the Baltic Sea or the Norwegian fjords. The 293-meter-long MSC Magnifica, however, fits perfectly into these harbors. This allows discerning guests to enjoy exclusive boutique routes coupled with the highest standard of service.

Currently, the Magnifica is embarking from Warnemünde on 11-day cultural voyages through the Baltics and 7-day trips into the Norwegian fjords. However, this refit is also an operational trial run for a much bigger event: In 2027, the ship will embark on an epic 121-day World Cruise. Until then, the onboard service will be further perfected. And good news for all fans of this ship class: Her sister ship, the MSC Poesia, is scheduled to receive an identical upgrade very soon!
