Below the waterline, a modern silicone coating now ensures significantly less friction. This noticeably reduces fuel consumption and makes operations more environmentally friendly. On the outside, the ship sports the fleet's fresh brand design, making it a real eye-catcher as soon as it pulls into port.
A lot has changed on board: Previously unused areas, such as the conference center, have been transformed into nearly 90 new cabins. A true highlight are the new "Ultimate Panoramic Suites" located directly above the bridge. Although they lack balconies, their massive windows offer a breathtaking view stretching far from starboard to port across the horizon. For those looking to relax on the spacious pool deck, the tropical "The Lime & Coconut" bar is the new go-to spot. The Solarium in the forward section, however, remains a dedicated quiet zone without the addition of a new pool.
The culinary offerings have seen exciting changes as well. The famous Bionic Bar with its robotic arms has made way for the "Pesky Parrot"—a Caribbean Tiki bar featuring real bartenders. Older dining concepts like "Wonderland" and "Sabor" have been replaced by options with broader appeal, such as the quick-service "El Loco Fresh," the "Samba Grill" steakhouse, and the massive "Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade." Additionally, the casino has been massively expanded, replacing venues like the comedy club.
After its initial summer sailings in the Western Mediterranean, the Harmony of the Seas will leave Europe at the end of July 2026. A transatlantic route will take it to Port Canaveral in Florida. From there, starting in August, the ship will embark on sunny Caribbean itineraries, which include stops at the cruise line's own private islands.
