Each ship offers guests an entirely unique experience. While the ultra-modern MSC Euribia relies on more eco-friendly LNG power, the MSC Preziosa is the proven favorite for extended Northern Europe voyages from Hamburg towards Iceland and the North Cape. In Warnemünde, there is a genuine innovation to admire on both starboard and port sides: The extensively modernized MSC Magnifica introduces the luxurious "ship-within-a-ship" concept of the MSC Yacht Club to the Baltic coast for the first time. With this move, the cruise line noticeably upgrades the local offerings.
However, the fact that all three ships were able to start on time was a logistical masterclass. The repositioning of the MSC Euribia from the Persian Gulf in spring had to be completely rescheduled due to the tense security situation in the Red Sea. It wasn't until a temporary ceasefire in April that the safe passage of the Strait of Hormuz was made possible. Afterward, the ship took the safer, albeit significantly longer, alternative route around the Cape of Good Hope and reached Kiel just in time for the season kickoff.
A crucial factor for the deployment in Germany is the state-of-the-art infrastructure of the local ports. In Kiel and Hamburg, in particular, MSC Cruises extensively utilizes the new shore power facilities. This allows the ships to be almost entirely emission-free while at the pier. The success of this strategy is already evident in the booking numbers: The current demand for Northern Europe is so enormous that MSC Cruises has already opened bookings for the summer of 2027, planning to seamlessly continue its triple deployment in German ports.
