During its stay in Rotterdam, significant technical and visual modernizations were carried out. Even though AIDAprima is not undergoing the full, seven-week "AIDA Evolution" program, it still benefits from many upgrades. Guests can look forward to modernized cabins, refreshed public areas like the Theatrium and the Beach Club, as well as new, eco-friendly recycled carpets. On the technical side, the massive 10-megawatt-hour battery system was meticulously serviced. This system is absolutely essential for meeting the strict, zero-emission environmental regulations in sensitive regions like the Geirangerfjord.
Right after returning to Hamburg, AIDAprima embarks on an eight-day "Norway's Fjord World Heritage" route. The itinerary includes Eidfjord, Bergen, Geiranger, Andalsnes, and Haugesund. This carefully planned route offers the perfect blend of breathtaking nature, exciting shore excursions, and relaxing sea days where guests can fully enjoy the extensive onboard amenities.
Looking further ahead, 2026 is all about AIDA Cruises' 30th anniversary. Fans can look forward to spectacular event cruises, including the "AIDA Festival Cruise 2026" and special soccer cruises featuring prominent guests. At the same time, the cruise line is reacting flexibly to global events: Due to the uncertain geopolitical situation in the Middle East, the 2026/2027 winter season in the Orient was canceled early. Instead, AIDAprima will set sail from Kiel to offer attractive Canary Islands cruises.
