The passage through the prominent Strait of Hormuz has been successfully completed for five passenger ships. The Celestyal Discovery already finished this leg of the journey yesterday, Friday. Today, Saturday, four more ships followed suit: the Celestyal Journey, the MSC Euribia, as well as Mein Schiff 4 and Mein Schiff 5.

Along the way, the Celestyal Journey made a brief stopover, halting for some time a few nautical miles off the port of Khor Fakkan. Anyone tracking the exact locations of the MSC Euribia, Mein Schiff 4, and Mein Schiff 5 on standard portals must currently account for a slight time delay, as the transmitted position data is not available in real-time right now.

In the background, the responsible shipping companies are preparing for an important course decision regarding the onward journey towards Europe. They must weigh two main options: The choice is between the direct route via the Red Sea and the Suez Canal, or the much longer alternative route around southern Africa. While this journey involves significantly more days at sea, it is classified as the safer alternative. The companies' final decisions on the further course are expected in the near future.
