Just in time for its 40th anniversary in 2026, the Scenic Group is announcing a massive fleet expansion. The company is responding to the growing demand for exclusive travel experiences. Plans include new luxury river ships as well as spectacular ocean yachts. The corporation relies on a clear separation of its two main brands: Scenic stands for uncompromising ultra-luxury, while Emerald Cruises caters to a modern and active luxury segment.

In the realm of river cruises, travelers can look forward to three new ships. The Emerald Nova and the Scenic Aria are planned for the Portuguese Douro and will enter service in 2027. They will be followed in early 2028 by the Scenic Spirit II, which will navigate the Asian Mekong. These ships are specifically designed for their respective regions and offer a highly private atmosphere with low passenger numbers.

The fleet is also growing significantly on the oceans. Alongside the new Emerald superyachts Kaia, Raiya, and Xara, the Scenic Ikon is the undisputed highlight. This top-tier expedition yacht will set sail in April 2028. It is built for extreme weather conditions and even offers its guests two private helicopters and a submarine for unique excursions.

A major advantage of the Scenic Group is its in-house shipyard, MKM Yachts in Croatia. By building the ships in-house, the company maintains full control over quality and adherence to schedules. Furthermore, state-of-the-art, eco-friendly technologies such as hybrid drives can be integrated directly and efficiently.

The growth is accompanied by new pricing and customer loyalty strategies. In the US market, a new four-tier pricing model ensures greater transparency. At the same time, global loyalty programs are intended to invite guests to combine various offerings of the fleet. In this way, the Scenic Group combines nautical innovations with the highest level of comfort for the future of travel.
