Silver Spirit 2026 Refurbishment: S.A.L.T. Concept & New Suites

In spring 2026, Silversea Cruises' "Silver Spirit" will undergo a comprehensive dry dock refurbishment. At the Fincantieri shipyard in Palermo, the popular ultra-luxury ship will be upgraded to the modern standards of the Muse Class by May 2026. This is not just routine maintenance, but a true strategic evolution of the fleet to offer guests on board even more space and comfort.

The most significant addition is the introduction of the innovative S.A.L.T. (Sea and Land Taste) program. Instead of classic, static menus, the culinary experience becomes hyper-local: dishes, wines, and cocktails adapt daily to the respective port of call. The concept includes the S.A.L.T. Kitchen main restaurant, the S.A.L.T. Lab for interactive cooking classes, a themed bar, and exclusive shore excursions to regional producers.

Living comfort is also getting an exciting upgrade. Silversea is introducing the new "Medallion Suites," which, at 62 to 67 square meters, fit perfectly between the regular Veranda Suites and the massive Silver Suites. This new category scores with a separate sleeping area, a spacious living room, and luxurious marble bathrooms that offer both a deep soaking tub and a walk-in shower.

In addition, the public areas are getting a fresh look. The Venetian Lounge will be equipped with a state-of-the-art LED wall for shows and lectures, while the fitness center will receive new, AI-supported training equipment. Following the refit, the Silver Spirit will set sail from Rome on May 8, 2026, heading towards Northern Europe before embarking on a 50-day Mediterranean voyage in late summer.
